Humberside Police are investigating the theft of money from a home in Old School Road, North Dalton between the hours of 9am and 12pm on Sunday 16th April.
Doors to the property were unlocked and someone took the opportunity to enter the property and take money from a handbag. Police have conducted house to house enquiries in the area and forensic investigation. Anyone who might have any information is urged to contact 101 quoting log number 289 of 16/4/17 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. To avoid other residents falling foul of sneak thieves, Humberside Police have the following suggestions: • Keep your doors locked, even if you are in the house or garden • Only leave windows open in occupied rooms • Keep valuables – like mobiles, laptops, hand bags or wallets – out of sight • Make property identifiable by registering it on www.immobilise.com via MyDriffield https://mydriffield.co.uk/police-warn-of-sneak-thieves/Driffield Telephone wiring
